The upgraded BS6 compliant engine is a 249.7cc 4-stroke 8-valve DOHC parallel twin-cylinder PGM-Fi (programmed fuel injection) liquid-cooled with auto electric fan and is set to generate a max power of 40.2 HP @ 13,000 rpm and a max torque of 25 Nm @ 11,000 rpm. It is still mated with a 6-speed gearbox with a multi-plate wet clutch with coil spring assist and slipper along with an optional quick shifter at 168 kg of kerb weight and 14.5 litres of fuel tank capacity.
2023 CBR250RR can reach 0 to 60 kmph in 2.75 seconds and 0 to 100 kmph in 6 seconds, and the top speed it can achieve is approximately 180 kmph. Honda has claimed the mileage to be 40.1 kmpl at a 60 kmph of a constant value.
The KTM Duke 250 comes powered by a 248.76 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine mated to a 6-speed transmission. The bike gets slipper clutch as well, which is unavailable in any of its competitors here. The engine churns out 29.6 bhp of peak power at 9,000 rpm and 24 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm.
The Mahindra Mojo draws power from a 295 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox. It generates 26.45 bhp of peak power at 8,000 rpm and 30 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. It can reach a top speed of 147 kmph. The Mojo delivers 25 kmpl of fuel efficiency.
Power source for the Yamaha FZ25 is a 249 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine paired with a 5-speed transmission. The engine kicks out 20.3 bhp of peak power at 8,000 rpm and 20 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. It returns 43 kmpl of impressive fuel efficiency.
The Honda CBR250R Repsol Racing Replica Limited Edition is powered by the same 249.6 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine from the standard Honda CBR250R. This engine produces 19.5 kW (26.15 bhp) at 8,500 rpm and 22.9 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm, and routes power to the wheel via a 6-speed transmission. The company claims a top speed of 135 km/h with this configuration.
In city condition mileage is better that is 35-38 Km/Lt, however it comes down on highways because of high speed. On an average I am able to manage an average mileage of 33km/Lt on highways at high speed (100+).It comes down further when we drive at 7k+ rpm consistently for example on a Delhi-Agra Expressway I could get just 30Km/Lt.
I maintained RPM limit during first 2000 Km. Let me admit the fact that the sound of the engine is disappointing including its power delivery at higher rpm.Pull at lower rpm is excellent because of high torque however same is missing at higher rpm.Below i have mentioned speed at various rpm range at top gear
Overall great driving experience. The bike's top speed goes up to 150-160 on highways. Although on regular basis in traffic easily runs between 70-100 kmph. Balancing and buildup quality are excellent. It's also reliable, very cheap to run, has a good build quality, loo 2b1af7f3a8
